Día 7 – Viaje a Japón 2026

Published on March 29, 2026

Day 7 of my journey to Japan in 2026 has certainly taken an unexpected turn. My original plan, which involved visiting a renowned temple, fell through at the last moment. However, I managed to improvise my day, and it turned out to be quite rewarding.

This morning, I hopped on a train to a near, fueled of catching a bus that would take me to a secret village nestled deep within the mountains. According to my research, the bus ride was supposed to last around 1.5 hours, leading me to a place that felt untouched world. However, upon my arrival, I was met with a disappointing reality: there were no tickets available for any bus heading to the village.

At first, frustration washed over me. I had boldly set my sights on an adventure that suddenly felt out of reach. But instead of dwelling on the setback, I decided to explore the town I had arrived in. I found myself wandering charming streets, lined with quaint shops selling local crafts and delicacies. The spirit of the place was infectious, and I quickly forgot about the missed bus.

One particular shop caught my eye—a small, family-run establishment offering traditional Japanese sweets. I struck up a conversation with the owner, an elderly woman who was delighted to share stories about her family’s recipes and the history of her craft. She even offered me a chance to try my hand at making mochi, which turned out to be both a fun and messy experience.

After my hands were coated in rice flour, I strolled through a near, where cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The sight was breathtaking, with delicate pink petals swirling in the gentle breeze. I paused for a moment, soaking in the serene beauty and reflecting on how often plans take unexpected paths.

As the day turned into evening, I discovered a local ramen shop bustling with patrons. The inviting aroma drew me in, and I treated myself to a steaming bowl of delicious tonkotsu ramen. Each slurp was a reminder that sometimes, the best experiences arise from spontaneity.

Despite the initial setback, my detour turned out to be a delightful surprise. As I walked back to the train station under the glow of lanterns lining the street, I realized that the true essence of travel lies not just in the destinations, but also in the unexpected moments and connections made along the way. Tomorrow, I will revisit my original plan, but today has etched itself into my memory as a beautiful reminder of flexibility and spontaneity in my journey through Japan.
