S. Korea, U.S. discuss efforts to promote alliance through public diplomacy

SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) — Senior diplomats from South Korea and the United States convened in Seoul to discuss strategies aimed at enhancing their long-standing alliance through public diplomacy. The South Korean Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting brought together high-ranking officials from both countries, including Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Lee Sang-joon, and U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, Sung Kim. The discussions emphasized the role of public diplomacy in reinforcing the alliance and fostering positive perceptions among the citizens of both nations.
