A survivor of a sexual assault that occurred in a Travelodge hotel has expressed her outrage after the company’s CEO, Alan Gibbons, reportedly failed to address the seriousness of women’s safety in his response to the incident. In a recent public statement, Gibbons conveyed his “desperate sorrow” over the tragedy but faced immediate backlash for what critics deemed a lackluster approach to a critical issue facing hotel patrons.
