I recently completed a captivating read titled “Lock Every Door.” This book is not my first encounter with the author, and my previous experience led me to pick it up. Having enjoyed their earlier work, I felt optimistic about diving into this latest offering.

The plot revolves around a young woman who, seeking a fresh start, takes a job as a caregiver in a mysterious Manhattan apartment building. The allure of the setting is palpable, creating an atmosphere rich with suspense and intrigue. However, as the story unfolded, I found myself grappling with my expectations.
