AlixLabs, a semiconductor process startup from Lund, Sweden, has been making strides in atomic etching technology. Known for its innovative Atomic Pitch Splitting (APS™) technique, the company previously focused on research and development efforts aimed at enhancing chip manufacturing processes.
With the announcement of a €15 million Series A funding round, including a significant investment from Finnish firm Stephen Industries, AlixLabs is poised for a shift. The funding will help accelerate the transition from laboratory-based innovations to practical applications in semiconductor fabrication.
The company plans to initiate beta testing with chip manufacturers in 2026, targeting full-scale manufacturing deployment by 2027. This timeline indicates a growing confidence in APS™ as a viable solution for current challenges in the semiconductor industry.
The financial backing could revolutionize the manufacturing landscape, enabling more efficient production processes and potentially altering market dynamics. As AlixLabs moves forward, its technology may bolster the industry’s ability to meet increasing demands for advanced semiconductor components.
