Deezer Reports Surge in AI-Generated Music Submissions

Published on April 20, 2026

Deezer, the popular music streaming service, has been a go-to platform for artists and listeners alike. Traditionally, human talent has dominated the scene, with original songs crafted through creativity and emotion. However, the landscape is shifting dramatically.

The platform recently revealed that it now receives nearly 75,000 AI-generated song submissions each day. This figure represents about 44 percent of all daily uploads, signaling a significant impact from artificial intelligence in music creation.

In response to this rapid influx, Deezer noted that the consumption of AI-generated tracks accounts for only 1 to 3 percent of total streams. Despite the increasing number of uploads, many listeners remain skeptical of AI-produced music, raising questions about its artistic merit.

This trend poses challenges for the industry, as it grapples with issues of authenticity and quality control. While the rise of AI in music production offers new avenues for creativity, the platform’s reliance on these submissions may lead to a dilution of unique human artistry.
