LinkedIn Introduces Crosscheck, a Free AI Model Testing Feature for Premium Users

Published on April 20, 2026

LinkedIn has long served as a platform for professional networking and job searching. Now it is venturing into the AI space with a new feature called Crosscheck, enabling users to evaluate competing AI models without the usual limitations of subscription fees or token restrictions.

Crosscheck allows premium subscribers to test various AI models from companies like OpenAI and Google. Users are presented with two responses to a prompt, each generated by a different model, fostering an unbiased comparison. Only after making a selection can users see which model produced each answer, according to LinkedIn’s Chief Product Officer, Hari Srinivasan.

This feature, still in its early stages, allows unlimited text-based queries but does not support image generation or file uploads. LinkedIn aims to enhance Crosscheck models and response types in future updates. Additionally, a leaderboard will track ratings of different models various industries.

While currently available only to U.S. premium users, LinkedIn plans to roll out Crosscheck to more countries and free accounts in the near future. The data collected during these tests will be shared, in anonymized form, with the AI companies to aid in their model improvements, ensuring that user privacy is maintained.
