Samsung’s venture into smart glasses is taking shape as leaked images surface online. Previously, the tech community had anticipated the release of the glasses, hinted at through various reports. The device, currently known “Jinju,” promises to come packed with features and a price tag between $380 and $500.
These glasses will mark Samsung’s first foray into the smart eyewear market, aiming to compete with established players like Meta and Google. Running on the Android XR platform, they are expected to integrate closely with the upcoming Google Gemini chatbot, offering a seamless user experience.
Unlike many smart glasses, the Jinju will forgo a display, with an advanced version planned for 2027 featuring a micro-LED screen. This follow-up model, codenamed “Haean,” could reach prices between $600 and $900 while delivering capabilities similar to high-end competitors.
