ICEYE Secures €300M Credit Facility to Propel Global Expansion

Published on May 21, 2026

Helsinki-based satellite operator ICEYE has been making significant strides in the synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) industry. The company recently doubled its size in 2025, positioning itself as a major player in the market. This growth, however, necessitated additional financial resources to support its ongoing commitments.

In response, ICEYE announced a new €300 million revolving credit facility, led Danske Bank. This facility is structured as a three-year committed revolving credit line. The funds are earmarked primarily to back customer-contract guarantees and facilitate further expansion into global markets.

The introduction of this capital will enable ICEYE to solidify its service offerings and enhance its operational capabilities. With the backing of a seven-bank syndicate, the company’s ambitions to broaden its reach appear more attainable. Industry analysts suggest that this move will bolster ICEYE’s competitive edge in satellite imaging technologies.

The consequences of this financing are significant for ICEYE and the broader SAR satellite market. As the company expands its infrastructure and services, it may attract new clients and partnerships. This development could lead to an uptick in innovation and competition, reshaping the landscape for satellite operators worldwide.
