Starbucks aimed to revolutionize its inventory management with an AI-driven tool designed to streamline operations across its locations. This technology promised efficiency and accuracy, becoming a key component of the company’s logistics strategy.
However, just nine months after the launch, Starbucks announced it would discontinue the AI system. The decision followed reports of inconsistencies and difficulties in integrating the tool with existing processes, leading to frustrations among store managers and staff.
