Anthropic’s Project Glasswing has shaken the cybersecurity community 10,000 high- or critical-severity vulnerabilities in major software applications since its launch a month ago. Out of these, 1,726 have been validated, with 1,094 categorized as high or critical severity. This unprecedented surge in identified vulnerabilities has surprised experts.
The sheer volume of discovered threats has overwhelmed many security teams. Current patching processes cannot keep pace with the flood of vulnerabilities, leaving systems potentially exposed for longer periods. Organizations are scrambling to prioritize which vulnerabilities to address first, raising concerns over overall security posture.
