The ongoing delay in the implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) recommendations has raised serious concerns among state employees in Telangana. Minister Harish Rao has publicly questioned the government’s failure to upload the 15,700 Government Orders (GOs) associated with the PRC, which are critical for the adjustment of salaries and allowances.
During a recent press briefing, Harish Rao expressed frustration over the holdup, indicating that the timely release of updated GOs is essential for ensuring that state employees receive their due increments and benefits. He noted that the delay is causing anxiety among the workforce, who rely on the PRC for fair compensation reflective of their work and contributions.
Rao’s comments come amidst mounting pressure from various employee unions demanding swift action to implement the PRC recommendations. They argue that the delay not only affects their financial stability but also diminishes their morale, as many employees have been waiting for long overdue salary adjustments.
The PRC, which was expected to bring significant changes to the pay structure, was initially anticipated to provide benefits to thousands of state employees as well as retired personnel. However, the lack of movement on the upload of GOs has left many in uncertainty regarding their financial future.
The Minister has called on the government to expedite the process and ensure transparency in the implementation of the PRC recommendations. He emphasized that addressing these issues is crucial for maintaining trust and motivation among the state’s workforce.
As employees continue to voice their concerns, the pressure mounts on the administration to take decisive action and fulfill its commitments to the public servants of Telangana.
