Decade Energy has been focused on building infrastructure for electric truck depots throughout Europe. This Paris-based company has been operating within the growing demand for electric vehicles and their associated charging needs, primarily aiming to enhance energy storage and distribution.
Recently, Decade Energy announced a significant funding round of €22 million. This capital injection includes €16 million from Eiffel Investment Group aimed at project deployment and €6 million from SET Ventures to support product expansion and existing investor contributions. The funding will specifically target the development of over 100MW of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across France.
Following this investment, Decade Energy plans to expand its reach to Germany, the Nordics, and Poland within the next phases of its growth. This strategic move is projected to enhance electric truck charging infrastructure and bolster the shift towards sustainable logistics in those regions.
The consequences of this funding are substantial. Increased investment in electric fleet infrastructure aligns with Europe’s sustainability goals, potentially reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency. As the electric truck market continues to grow, Decade Energy’s initiatives aim to ensure that adequate power resources are in place, positioning the company as a pivotal player in the transition to green transportation.
