Día 1 – Viaje a Japón 2026

Published on March 29, 2026

I landed in Seoul today, 30 minutes ahead of schedule. With just a few minor turbulence moments, the flight was more peaceful than I had anticipated. My anxiety doesn’t stem from the fear of the plane crashing; rather, it’s the worry of getting nauseous and vomiting.

As I stepped off the plane and into Incheon International Airport, the bustling atmosphere quickly engulfed me. The mixture of excited travelers and the distinct aroma of Korean cuisine wafting through the air instantly invigorated my senses. I took a deep breath, indulging in the moment—the adventure had truly begun.

After collecting my luggage, I navigated through the airport’s impressive facilities, adorned with modern art and cultural displays that showcased Korea’s rich heritage. Once I cleared customs, the friendly faces of the airport staff provided a warm welcome, making me feel at home despite being thousands of miles away.

My first priority was to exchange some currency. The exchange counters were efficient, and soon enough, I had the local currency in my pocket. With my Garmin GPS and a sense of determination, I made my way to the city center via the Airport Railroad Express. The sleek, fast train zipped through the scenic countryside, giving me a glimpse of the vibrant landscape that surrounded Seoul.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck contrast of the ancient architecture and towering skyscrapers. Seoul is a city that seamlessly blends the old with the new. I made my way to my hotel, feeling the excitement build as I anticipated the exploration ahead. I quickly checked in, dropped off my bags, and prepared to step out into the bustling streets.

My first destination was Gyeongbokgung Palace, one of the largest and most stunning royal palaces in Korea. As I walked through the gates, the historical significance of the site washed over me. I marveled at the grandeur of the architecture and watched as the changing of the guard ceremony unfolded. It was a spectacle that painted a vivid picture of Korea’s royal history.

After exploring the palace, I wandered through the near Village, where traditional Korean houses stand preserved among the modern city. Strolling through these narrow lanes, I took in the beauty of the hanoks and enjoyed the serene atmosphere away from the bustling streets.

As evening approached, I made my way to Myeongdong, a popular shopping district known for its electric energy and delicious street food. The colorful stalls lined the streets, offering everything from spicy tteokbokki to sweet hotteok. I reveled in trying various snacks while shopping for unique souvenirs to take back home.

As the day came to a close, I felt a sense of fulfillment wash over me. The people of Seoul had displayed warmth and kindness, enhancing my travel experience. With a promise to explore even more of this captivating city in the days to come, I returned to my hotel, filled with anticipation for what tomorrow would bring. My journey to Japan in 2026 was already becoming an unforgettable adventure.
