A 21-year-old woman has been accused of luring her former boyfriend into a dangerous situation that resulted in him being violently attacked by a group of men. Summer Marl-Brock reportedly contacted her ex-partner, Benjamin Edwards, under the pretense of being alone at night after a night of drinking, which she used to manipulate him into meeting her.
According to court documents, Marl-Brock’s intentions were far from innocent. After convincing Edwards to join her, she allegedly coordinated the ambush, leading him into a trap where multiple assailants were waiting. Footage from the incident shows the shocking brutality of the attack, which left Edwards injured and in distress.
Witnesses state that Marl-Brock was seen laughing and encouraging the thugs during the assault, capturing the gruesome events on her phone. The video, which surfaced online, depicted the attack in graphic detail, raising serious concerns about the motivations that led to such a premeditated act of violence.
Investigators revealed that Marl-Brock had been attempting to rekindle a relationship with Edwards in the weeks leading up to the incident. However, her calls for support were a guise, as she had already planned for him to be ambushed. Law enforcement officials are now probing deeper into Marl-Brock’s actions and the identities of the assailants involved.
Edwards, who has since recovered from his physical injuries, expressed his shock at the betrayal from someone he once considered close. Friends and family have rallied around him in support, condemning the act as cowardly and malicious.
As the investigation continues, authorities are appealing for anyone with additional information to come forward. Marl-Brock has been arrested and charged with various offenses, including conspiracy to commit assault, and is awaiting trial. The case raises questions about trust and manipulation in relationships, highlighting the dangers of deceptive tactics like honeytraps.
