In a significant move aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced that farmers in the Dausa and Karauli districts will soon receive electricity for daytime irrigation. This initiative is part of the state’s broader commitment to support farmers and improve irrigation facilities across Rajasthan.
During a recent event, CM Gehlot emphasized that providing access to electricity during the day will enable farmers to irrigate their fields more effectively. “Agriculture is the backbone of our economy, and ensuring that our farmers have the resources they need is imperative for sustained growth,” he stated. The move is expected to alleviate some of the challenges faced , who often struggle with limited irrigation options.
The electricity supply during daytime will not only enhance the efficiency of irrigation but also help in managing water resources more effectively. Farmers in these districts have long been advocating for reliable daytime electricity to optimize their farming practices, and this initiative is set to address their longstanding demands.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s efforts to improve electricity infrastructure throughout rural areas. “We are committed to providing uninterrupted power supply to all our farmers, and this step is just the beginning of our efforts focused on rural electrification,” he added.
This announcement has been met with enthusiasm among local farmers who have expressed hope that improved access to electricity will lead to better crop yields and, in turn, boost their livelihoods. The initiative is seen as a crucial step towards ensuring food security and economic stability in the region.
As the state government prepares to roll out this program, stakeholders are optimistic that it will contribute significantly to the development of agriculture in Dausa and Karauli, fostering an environment where farmers can thrive.
