The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted approval for a higher dose of Wegovy, the popular weight loss drug developed . The new dosage increases the semaglutide injection from 2.4 mg to 7.2 mg, marking a significant enhancement for patients struggling with obesity.
According to the manufacturer, the higher dosage is intended for individuals who have already been on the lower dose for a minimum of four weeks. This adjustment aims to provide additional support for those who need more robust intervention in their weight management journey.
