In a significant shift, Google announced the transition of Gemini CLI to the new Antigravity CLI. This change introduces an agent-first platform designed for intricate, multi-agent workflows. The new tool is built on Go, promising faster execution and enhanced asynchronous processing capabilities.
The switch to Antigravity CLI will sync seamlessly with the upgraded Antigravity 2.0 desktop application. Current enterprise customers will retain their access without interruption. However, individual and free users face a deadline; they must migrate before Gemini CLI ceases operations on June 18, 2026.
