Haryana Chief Minister Khattar inaugurated several developmental projects worth ₹253 crores in Jind on Wednesday, marking a significant enhancement for the region’s infrastructure, particularly in irrigation and road connectivity. The initiatives are expected to bolster agricultural productivity and improve the overall socio-economic conditions in the area.

At a ceremonial event, CM Khattar emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming Jind into a model district through sustained investments in infrastructure. The projects include the construction of new roads, bridges, and the expansion of irrigation facilities aimed at facilitating better water management for farmers, who are the backbone of the local economy.

Among the notable projects is the construction of a 12-kilometer stretch on the Jind-Bhiwani road, which is anticipated to ease traffic congestion and provide smoother commutes for residents. Additionally, new irrigation canals are planned, which will benefit thousands of acres of farmland, ensuring that crops receive adequate water supply even during dry spells.

The Chief Minister underscored the importance of infrastructure development in promoting economic growth, stating that these projects would not only create jobs but also attract investments to the region. “We are dedicated to empowering our farmers and improving their livelihoods through better irrigation. Good roads will further enhance access to markets, thus fostering commerce in the region,” he added.

Local leaders and residents expressed their optimism regarding these developments, reflecting a general sentiment of approval for the government’s focus on rural infrastructure improvements. Many are hopeful that the new projects will contribute to higher agricultural yields and better quality of life in Jind.

The announcement aligns with the state’s broader strategic plan to enhance infrastructure across Haryana, with particular emphasis on rural areas that have historically lagged in development. As the Chief Minister concluded his address, he reiterated the state’s promise to prioritize the welfare of farmers and boost rural economies through targeted initiatives.
