At Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, operations had long relied on human workers for tasks like luggage sorting. However, a growing labor shortage in Japan created significant challenges for maintaining service levels and efficiency.
To address this issue, airport officials initiated a trial program utilizing humanoid robots. These autonomous machines have begun sorting luggage, loading cargo, and even cleaning aircraft cabins, showcasing advanced AI capabilities in a real-world environment.
