In a significant crackdown on traffic violations, the Jaipur Regional Transport Office (RTO) has seized 30 overloaded vehicles from various locations across the city. The operation, conducted over the past few days, aimed to enforce stricter adherence to weight regulations that have often been overlooked .

The RTO officials reported that many of the seized vehicles were found carrying loads exceeding the permissible limits, posing risks not only to the vehicle’s integrity but also endangering the safety of other road users. Overloading is a common practice that not only leads to accidents but also accelerates wear and tear on road infrastructure.

During the operation, the RTO personnel employed weighbridges to accurately measure the loads of the vehicles in question. As a result, many drivers were fined, and the overloaded vehicles were taken off the roads until compliance with the regulations is met. Officers highlighted that this initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance road safety and protect public infrastructure.

Transport Commissioner Anil Kumar emphasized the importance of following weight regulations, stating that these measures are essential in preventing accidents caused . He urged transport operators to prioritize safety over short-term gains and ensure that they adhere to legal load limits.

The RTO has announced that similar operations will continue in the coming weeks as part of its commitment to maintaining road safety standards in Jaipur. Citizens have welcomed the initiative, hoping it will lead to a decrease in road mishaps associated with overloading and improve overall traffic conditions in the city.
