LG has officially entered the RGB display market with its Micro RGB evo, now available for pre-order at $5,000. This launch comes on the heels of significant advancements showcased during CES 2026, where the trend for next-generation TV displays gained traction.
The Micro RGB evo builds on LG’s Mini LED technology, featuring a new Alpha A11 AI processor. This innovation allows for precise control of individual red, green, and blue LEDs, promising unrivaled color accuracy and enhanced contrast through thousands of dimming zones.
While the benefits of Micro RGB technology are clear, LG’s existing OLED lines continue to excel in contrast and deep blacks. Competitors like TCL and Samsung are also delving into this technology, yet LG’s premium pricing may limit accessibility compared to more affordable QD-OLED and OLED options.
The Micro RGB evo is offered in various sizes, including 75, 86, and 100 inches, with pre-orders open now on LG’s website. This move positions LG at the forefront of a rapidly evolving market, reshaping consumer expectations for home entertainment.
