A man was brutally killed -laws amid ongoing marital discord with his wife in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The incident, which took place late on Saturday night, has resulted in the arrest of two suspects, identified as the victim’s father-in-law and brother-in-law.
According to police reports, the victim, identified as Ramesh Kumar, had been experiencing significant issues in his marriage, leading to escalating tensions between him and his wife’s family. On the night of the incident, an argument reportedly broke out at the couple’s residence, situated in the Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad. Eyewitnesses claim that the dispute quickly became violent, with Kumar’s in-laws allegedly attacking him with sharp weapons.
Local authorities were alerted after neighbors heard screams and commotion coming from the house. Upon arriving at the scene, police found Kumar in a pool of blood with severe injuries. He was swiftly transported to a near, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The police apprehended the father-in-law and brother-in-law shortly after the incident, while the search for other possible accomplices is ongoing. Investigators are examining evidence from the crime scene and speaking to witnesses to piece together the events that led to the fatal attack.
Community members expressed shock at the incident, describing Kumar as a kind and gentle person. Many have raised concerns over domestic violence and the implications of marital discord in families, calling for greater awareness and preventative measures.
