Published on April 24, 2026

Porsche has introduced an electric version of its iconic Cayenne Coupé, aiming to redefine performance in the luxury SUV market. Traditionally known for their internal combustion engines, Porsche now seeks to merge electric power with luxury aesthetics.

This new vehicle presents a significant shift in design and capability. The Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric features a sleeker body that enhances aerodynamics and boosts efficiency, boasting a drag coefficient of 0.23. Its appearance has drawn comparisons to BMW’s X-series, particularly at the rear, while it maintains a familiar front-end design.

Equipped with an 800-volt architecture, the Cayenne Turbo offers rapid charging capabilities and impressive specifications. The model can deliver a staggering 857 hp and accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, all while providing a range of approximately 350 miles under EPA conditions.

With a starting price of $168,000 at the Beijing Auto Show, the Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric positions itself as a competitive option in the luxury electric market. This aggressive pricing strategy contrasts sharply with current trends in high-end vehicles, promising a blend of performance and luxury that may entice affluent buyers seeking speed and sustainability.
