A senior citizen from Navi Mumbai found himself in a troubling situation after being digitally arrested for nine hours, as he was reportedly conned out of Rs 1.5 crore. The incident revolves around alleged connections to a bomb blast that occurred in Delhi in 2025.
The victim, identified as a well-respected retiree, became the target of a sophisticated scam involving impostors who claimed to be law enforcement authorities. These scammers allegedly informed him that his bank accounts were implicated in criminal activities related to the blast, pressuring him to act quickly to secure his funds from potential legal repercussions.
Believing in the legitimacy of the threats, the senior citizen was coerced into transferring large sums of money under the pretense of safeguarding his assets.
