Week 9 of the Nathaniel Idowu-Ajegunle Under-14 Football League delivered drama, goals, and standout performances, with Strong Dove Football Academy stealing the spotlight in emphatic fashion. In the opening fixture, Strong Dove faced off against Rivers United, showcasing their offensive prowess and tactical discipline.

From the outset, Strong Dove demonstrated their intent to control the game. Their forward line, led Emmanuel Ojo, quickly put Rivers United on the back foot. Ojo, with his speed and agility, broke through the defense multiple times, eventually netting a hat-trick that bolstered his team’s morale. The first goal arrived in the 12th minute, when Ojo skillfully slotted the ball past the goalkeeper after a well-timed assist from midfielder Chidera Obi.

In other matches this week, local rivals United Academy secured an important victory against Ajegunle FC, keeping their own Super 4 hopes alive. United’s star player, Ibrahim Sulaimon, delivered a dazzling performance, scoring two goals in a tightly contested 3-2 victory.
