Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has sharply criticized former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, claiming that if betrayal had a form, it would take the shape of Palaniswami. Stalin’s comments came during a rally as he discussed the political landscape following the previous elections.

Stalin emphasized that Palaniswami, who took office unexpectedly, was decisively ousted in the last election. He argued that the swift change in leadership reflected the people’s discontent with the governance and policies of Palaniswami’s administration.

“Palaniswami came to power as if , but the people of Tamil Nadu saw through the façade and sent him packing. The betrayal felt during his tenure is palpable, and that is why they chose to remove him from office,” Stalin asserted, urging voters to remain vigilant against those who mislead for personal gain.

The Chief Minister drew attention to various initiatives his government has undertaken, claiming that the current administration is focused on welfare and development aimed at improving the lives of Tamil Nadu’s residents. He urged the crowd to recognize the difference between his government’s actions and what he described as the “deceitful politics” practiced administration.

Stalin’s remarks come in the lead-up to the upcoming elections, where he aims to consolidate support for his party, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He has vowed to continue prioritizing the welfare of the people against what he perceives as the destructive tendencies of the opposition. As the political climate heats up, both parties are mobilizing their bases, making these statements increasingly vital in shaping public perception.
