The government of Telangana is making significant strides in its ambition to host the Olympics a state-of-the-art sports stadium in Hyderabad. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao announced the initiative during a press conference, detailing plans to create a world-class facility that will not only serve as a venue for local and national sporting events but also cater to international competitions.
In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of sports in fostering youth development and enhancing the state’s global profile. “We are committed to making Hyderabad a beacon of sports excellence. The proposed stadium will feature various facilities, including an athletics track, swimming pool, and arenas for indoor games. Rao acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence that Telangana could rise to the occasion. “Hosting the Olympics is an ambitious goal, but with the right investments and dedication, we believe it is achievable,” he said. A task force has been established to oversee the planning and execution of the project, which is set to begin soon.
