SEOUL, March 26 (Yonhap) — LG Twins manager Youm Kyoung-youb believes his team is well-prepared to defend their title in the upcoming Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) season. Following a successful campaign last year that saw the Twins clinch their first championship in 29 years, Youm is focusing on augmenting the team’s strengths to maintain their competitive edge.
“We have a solid foundation from last season, but we know that we cannot rest on our laurels,” Youm stated during a press conference. “Our goal is to enhance our abilities both in hitting and pitching while fostering a strong team spirit.”
The Twins have made several strategic offseason moves, including the acquisition of key players and the promotion of promising talent from their farm system. These additions are intended to bolster their roster and provide depth in crucial positions. “Talent alone won’t be enough; we need everyone to come together and play as a cohesive unit,” Youm emphasized.
In preparation for the season, the Twins have been intensifying their training regimen. The focus has been on refining techniques and improving overall conditioning. “Every little detail counts, and we are putting in the effort to ensure we are ready for the challenges ahead,” said Youm.
As the season opener approaches, excitement is building among fans and players alike. The anticipation of a successful title defense has sparked hope within the LG Twins community, which is keen to witness their team battling for glory once more. Youm remains optimistic but acknowledges the fierce competition the Twins will face in the KBO.
“Our rivals will be gunning for us, and we must stay focused and resilient,” he noted. “The championship is ours to defend, and we will do everything in our power to uphold the standard we set last year.”
With a determined spirit and a commitment to excellence, the LG Twins are gearing up for another thrilling season in the KBO, ready to prove they are more than just a one-hit wonder.
