In a significant crackdown on malpractice, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) has dismantled an organized cheating racket that targeted competitive examinations across the state. The operation, which took place in Lucknow, resulted in the arrest of five key individuals linked to the scheme, along with the seizure of sophisticated gadgets and materials used for cheating.
According to officials, the racket operated with a well-coordinated plan that involved the use of advanced technology to assist candidates during exams. It was discovered that the accused had procured examination question papers in advance and devised methods to relay answers to examinees in real-time.
The arrests were made after a thorough investigation initiated , responding to complaints about irregularities in various competitive examinations. Authorities have revealed that the group was not only involved in facilitating cheating for individual candidates but was also charging hefty fees for their services, which ranged from tens of thousands to lakhs of rupees.
In an effort to restore integrity to the examination process, the STF has urged prospective candidates to report any suspicious activities related to examinations. Furthermore, they have emphasized the security measures being put in place to ensure that such malpractices are curbed effectively in the future.
The UP STF continues its investigation to identify additional members of the organized network and to dismantle any further operations tied to this cheating scheme. This move is part of a broader strategy to ensure fair competition and uphold the standards of educational assessments in the state.
